Permanent Makeup FAQs

What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup is a state-of-the-art form of cosmetic tattooing. The technique deposits soft mineral pigment into the skin to enhance your features.

Who Would Benefit From Permanent Makeup?

Everyone wants to look their best from the young to the elderly. Imagine how convenient it would be to wake up each morning with perfectly shaped brows, defined eyes and beautifully contoured lips. Think of the time you would save each morning waking up with subtle, soft makeup all perfectly in place with no smudges.

It’s particularly helpful if you…

  • Wish to save time each morning applying makeup.
  • Wear glasses and find it difficult to see when applying makeup.
  • Have an active lifestyle and want a water/perspiration proof makeup solution.
  • Have alopecia or have undergone chemotherapy and lost some or all of your brow hair or lashes.
  • Have a medical condition that leaves you with unsteady hands making it difficult to apply your makeup.

Does is Look Natural?

The most important thing to remember is that you are in control and can choose the look to suit you, from subtle and understated to more glamorous. Sandy always works with the philosophy that less is best so the colour and effect are built over two separate appointments ensuring a look that will always be as natural as you desire.

Am I Suitable for Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup is suitable for most people. An initial consultation with Sandy will explore any issues or concerns. Sandy will discuss your exact requirements and suggest solutions to achieve the exact look that you desire.

How Long Will it Last?

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Permanent Makeup can last for several years but this is dependent on various factors including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle. Sandy recommends a colour refresher treatment every twelve to eighteen months to maintain perfect results. This is offered at up to a 50% reduction off the full price.

What if I Don't Like the Results?

Sandy will spend time during your initial consultation and throughout your treatment to ensure that you receive the look that you desire. No client has ever been unhappy with the results Sandy has produced, so we hope that statistic provides future clients with peace of mind. In fact, Sandy has been asked on several occasions to correct and improve work carried out by other Permanent Makeup technicians, restoring people’s faith in this excellent beauty solution.

Whether you are planning to come to The Beauty Studio MediSpa for your Permanent Makeup or go elsewhere, Sandy would always advise that your decision is not driven by price alone. The industry is largely unlegislated, so ensure you look for an experienced and highly qualified technician who can show you proven examples of their work alongside testimonials from their clients.

Health & Safety

The equipment Sandy uses is the latest and most technologically advanced, protecting you against cross contamination. The equipment holds TÜV certification and approval according to the German Medical Devices Act.

Fully disposable ‘single use only’ applicator cartridges are used, for your complete safety and peace of mind.

Pre Procedure Advice

Eyebrows

It’s not advisable to tint your brows one week before or two weeks after your Permanent Makeup treatment.

Lashes

It is not advisable to tint, perm or curl your eyelashes for one week prior to treatment and two weeks after your Permanent Makeup treatment.

Please bring glasses to wear after your eyeliner procedure as contact lenses cannot be worn for 24 hours.

Lips

If you already suffer with cold sores you may be advised to use some oral Aclovir tablets to minimise the possibility of the treatment triggering a cold sore outbreak.

How do I Make an Appointment?

A consultation charged at £35.00 is recommended prior to any booking (redeemable against treatment) during which the entire process will be explained and Sandy will draw on the suggested shape. A skin test will be carried out and the cost of your treatment will be confirmed.

If you are unable to come for a consultation a skin test can be sent to you in the post and a consultation will be carried out at the time of your treatment.
